CV / Resume
- Layout your employment history, timeline, experience and qualifications clearly.
- Explain any gaps in your employment history.
Clinical References
We require a minimum of two professional, clinical references for employment with Noble Nurse.
National Criminal History Check (NCHRC)
- A valid police check obtained within the last three years.
- To obtain a Police Check, options include applying online with NSW Police and verifying your ID at a Police station or visiting an Australia Post Office with your documentation and lodging your application with them. It usually takes about five to ten days to receive your certificate.
NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- The Working with Children Check (WWCC) is a compulsory security screen for all nursing staff working in hospitals in NSW.
- Please note that the ‘volunteer’ Working With Children Check is not sufficient for working with Noble Nurse, as all work is paid. Interstate checks will not be accepted.

Evidence of Right to Work in Australia
- If you are an Australian Citizen, this can be either your Birth Certificate or your Citizenship Certificate.
- If you are not an Australian citizen, please produce your original passport (not a copy) and visa documentation.
Statement(s) of Service
- Any certificates or letters from your employer(s) verifying your experience and pay level, including hours worked.
- Transcript of Mandatory Training record.
Qualifications and Experience
Registered Nurse/Midwife/Enrolled Nurse
AHPRA Registration number. Recent hospital or aged care experience is required. Your post graduate experience should be a minimum one year full time (FTE) experience in an acute care environment. You must advise the Agency of any notations or restrictions associated with your Registration such as “solely qualified in the area of mental health nursing”.
Assistant in Nursing
Evidence of successful completion of first year of nursing degree and enrolment in second year of nursing degree, or: Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care) to work in hospitals, and Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing+) or IV in Ageing Support to work in Nursing Homes/Aged Care. You must also have prior paid experience working as an AIN.
Vaccinations
- You must have a vaccination record compliant with NSW Health Standards. Please read the attached table and check your immunisation record against the NSW Health standards.
- Many overseas nurses will not have a dTpa vaccination –get one before you leave if necessary.
- You must have evidence of the appropriate age-related vaccination for Hepatitis B – normally three doses. If you do not have a record, you will be required to sign a Statutory Declaration stating that you have received the required vaccinations.
Payroll Information
- Banking details: Name of Bank, BSB and account number. For verification purposes we may require a statement from your bank with financial details blacked out.
- Tax File Number (TFN) and completed ATO Tax File declaration Form.
- Superannuation
In addition to your wages, an amount equivalent to 11% of your pre-tax wages (called Super Guarantee Contribution or SGC) is required to be paid by your employer into a superannuation fund of your choice. Most of our staff are with Care Super but there are many different funds to choose from. The choice is yours. If you want to join a fund, go to the website of your chosen fund and apply online – once you have your TFN. The Agency will need the name and USI of your fund and your membership number when you join the Agency.

Between the Flags and DETECT
These two patient-condition-monitoring programs are compulsory training for nurses working in public hospitals. If you already have a NSW health payroll number you can complete the training online for free.

The Royal College of Nursing has endorsed a selection of courses for nurses from this NSW State Government training website. Courses are all free and are delivered online; the RCNA-endorsed part of the website is available here.

Online Continuing Professional Development
The Clinical Information Access Portal offers online training for nurses that can earn CPD points. Topics include infection control, manual handling, fire and emergency training, drug calculation and administration, and life support (basic and advanced). Australian Nursing Registration
It is a mandatory requirement that all nurses working with us have a current and valid registration. Details can be obtained from the AHPRA website or see further details below.
Working Visa
All nurses applying from overseas should have a valid working visa to work in Australia. Please see the link below for further information.
Criminal Record Check
It is compulsory for all nurses to go through an internal security screening process to work in Australia. See link below to begin your Criminal Record Check.
Working With Children Check
WWCC is a mandatory security protocol for all nurses working in NSW hospitals. Follow the link below to submit your online application by clicking ‘Apply’.
Vaccination Record
It is mandatory for NSW Health Workers to show proof of their immunity to certain diseases. Please click on the link below for further information.
Superannuation
Under the Government Superannuation Guarantee, all employers are required to pay an amount equivalent to 11% of the employee’s wage to a nominated superannuation fund of the employee’s choice. This money is not accessible to the employee until either the employee reaches a certain age, or is leaving the country permanently or satisfies other conditions. You will be required to select a Superannuation provider, or you can choose to default to our standard superannuation provider.
Mandatory Training Certificate
It is a pre-employment requisite that all nurses undertake certain mandatory courses like Manual Handling, Basic Life Support, Between the Flags, Fire Theory & Practice Medication assessment.
Opening a Bank Account
Banking facilities in Australia are well organised and operate 24 hours a day via electronic and Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) services. To open a Bank Account you will need to provide identification, ideally a Passport and/or Driver’s License as part of a 100 point ID check. The four large banks of Australia are ANZ, Commonwealth, NAB and Westpac.
Tax File Number (TFN)
In Australia all employees must have a Tax File Number (TFN) which is a requirement of the Government. Failure to do so will result in individuals being taxed at a higher rate. To obtain a Tax File Number application form, simply go to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) web site linked below.
Mobile Phone
It’s a good idea to get an Australian mobile phone contact number when you arrive to help facilitate setting things up and of course, to be readily contactable! There are many telecommunication providers that provide both prepaid and contract accounts. Noble Nurse uses Telstra for our mobile phone services.
