Hand Hygiene Australia

-hand hygiene is an essential part of best-practice patient care in all health facilities, so Noble Nurse encourages all health staff to review optimal strategies and take the free tutorial quiz for hand-washing at the Hand Hygiene Australia website.

Online Fire and Safety for Health Professionals

-many health facilities require staff to have an up-to-date Fire Safety Certificate before commencing work. For $25 you can complete this training and receive a certificate endorsed by the Royal College of Nursing, Australia (RCNA). This course is offered by the Institute of Health and Nursing Australia and counts for 2.5 RCNA Continuing Nursing Education points for Registered Nurses.

-the Royal College of Nursing has endorsed a selection of courses from this NSW State Government training website. Courses are all free and are delivered online; the RCNA-endorsed part of the website is available here.

Online Continuing Professional Development courses

-The Australian Nursing Federation offers online courses for $15 per module (for non-members). Each hour of active learning counts for one CPD point. Topics include infection control, manual handling, fire and emergency training, drug calculation and administration, and life support (basic and advanced).
